Top 5 things to do before a trip to Disneyland Paris

If your planning a trip to Disneyland Paris you know that it isn't the cheapest of places to go. So to help make to most of this amazing experience, i have come up with some handy hints and tips to ensure you get to do the things you want and have an incredible time!

TOP TIP NUMBER 1 - Look up ride and attractions closures

If you love rides and attractions and have a few favourites, check the Disneyland Paris website for up coming closures, they are usually posted a year in advanced of the refurbishment. At low season times a lot of ride closures happen to prepare for the high season ( when children are off school). This will allow you to avoid the disappointment of turning up and having the attractions you want to go on closed!

TOP TIP NUMBER 2 - Book your dining reservations in advanced

Dining at Disney is more than just sitting down for a meal, its an experience! To make sure you don't miss out on the place you want to eat ring and book well in advance, it also allows you to have a structure for your day. When i had breakfast at Cafe Mickey i knew i had to be up and out and start my day early, not that id sleep in for disney but i know i wouldn't be as prompted to get up if i didn't have a time i needed to be somewhere. Also pre booking character dining can ensure you are doing it and not missing out but as a bonus it save you loads of time by meeting the characters while you eat (killing two birds with one stone).  Allowing you extra time in the parks as you won't be waiting in line to meet Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and many more. If you would like to know more about character dining i have a separate page all about it. (Its that amazing it gets its own page!)

TOP TIP NUMBER 3 - Know the Fastpass system

Certain rides have a fastpass system which allows you to go in the quicker que at the time given. Not all rides have a fastness system but those that do you can get a fastness from the ticket machine outside the designated ride. Becareful some rides are worth getting more than others. This is because normal wait times for certain rides can be longer than others. For example; The Ratoutille Ride, this always has a very long wait time as it is the newest attraction within both parks (opened 2014). This ride is a must for a fastpass and everyone seems to think so too! The fastpasses for this ride run out within the first hour of park opening, so make sure to get there early to avoid missing out and waiting in the long Que. Normally with each fastpass you have to wait to use that fastpass before you get another one, if the time for your fastpass is in late afternoon and you went to get the fastpass in the morning DONT WORRY, you will be giving a time which you can go and get another fastpass, so you don't need to wait all day to use that one before you get another!!

Extra little tip : Just before Dreams, Buzzlightyear star command is basically a walk on, me and my partner did it 3 times within half an hour!! Yet the day before we qued for an hour!

TOP TIP NUMBER 4 - Have an open mind to stay offsite

Staying onsite is perfect as your right in the heart of Disney, but for the bank balance its not so perfect! I stayed offsite last year and saved 100's which allowed me to go twice once in spring and the other at halloween. I stayed at the Park and Suites Prestige which was a 5 minute bus journey away. I got picked up at the hotel door as the hotel shuttle bus ran every 15 mins and got dropped off right at the gates off Disney, so transport was not an issue. Although the hotel wasn't a disney hotel i don't spend much time in it anyway I'm always out in the morning and back late at night. I do highly recommend this hotel the room was lovely, big, clean and was perfect for my stay, and from my balcony I could see the castle and space mountain which was a bonus! The hotel staff were lovely and friendly. I booked it through hotels.com. The money I saved on hotels I was able to spend on souvenirs and photos.

TOP TIP NUMBER 5 - Look at the up to date map
Knowing whats happening who you are there helps you to plan your day, this includes character meet and greets and parades. No-one wants to miss out on meeting their favourite character! These will be on the disneyland paris website.

Hope these tips help you have a magical holiday

March Favourites

Here we go again another month has passed, i seriously feel like i have slept through this month its gone by so fast! but finally beautiful spring is here! (I say this as the rain batters down on my window) But finally lighter nights , slightly warmer days, pretty colours and new makeup! My March Favourites are unintentionaly all new buys from Feb/early March that i have just been really enjoying using and feel like I am really getting my moneys worth out of! I believe that these products are must haves for everyones makeup collections.
KYLIE Lip Kit | Dolce K
Kylie Lip Kit had to be in my March favourites ever since it came i have always used it! This by far is the best liquid lipstick formula i have used. Perfect for day and night looks. KYLIE Lip Kit Review

Real Techniques Sculpting Brush has been my everyday go to brush it is perfect for contouring as it is really easy to make a the perfect line and to blend it in with. The bristles are quite firm so they don't flick product around your face where you don't want it to go. Also the colour is the brush is stunning a gorgeous hot pink.

Dior Nude Air Skin Illuminating Powder | Glowing Nude
This has been an amazing highlighter even tho I'm scared too over use it as the pattern is beautiful. Im not gunna bore you with a review of this product as this has its own page on my blog. Dior Nude Review

LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub is part of my everyday routine i use this before cleansing my face as i find it fab to polish up my lips and remove any old products and dry skin.

MAC Prep and Prime Lip
This is a newbie for me this month, i wanted something to use under my lipstick as my lips can become quite dry. I use this as part of my everyday routine and i have found it great for hydrating my lips and smoothing them before applying my lipstick.

Lets see what April has to offer us, with the beginning of Spring I'm hoping lots of baby colours and sparkle!

Tartelette's Review

I just couldn't resist these gorgeous Tarte products when i came across them. Living in the UK its hard to purchase Tarte cosmetics, but then i saw them on QVC (the only place i can purchase Tarte) and didn't need to think twice about buying them, even though my bank card was telling me otherwise! The packaging from the beginning caught my eye and the photos really don't do them justice as they are so pretty and made to a high quality! I bought these as a set which also came with a mini tartiest mascara for £49 but is currently on QVC website for £61 (price given at time of publish).

Tartelette

As you can tell this gorgeous palette has all matte shades which for me is perfect. These shades are all stunning and can be all used with each other to make many different gorgeous eye looks. I also love how the name of the shades are boldly under each shade. I also love the stunning metallic gold finish of this palette which gives it more of a finished high end look. Lets not forget the decent size mirror which comes with this allowing it to actually be used, unlike some pallets which come with the finest mirror that i always end up struggling to use as you can't see your whole face!

I am currently wearing ; supermom, wanderer and power player

Tartelette in Bloom
This palette is stunning! With nine matte shades and three shimmer shades it is perfect for making many different looks. Also if you are going on holiday it is fab to take with you as its got everything for a day eye look to a nice dark smoky with a hint of shimmer look. These shadows are very pigmented so you don't need a lot of product on your brush, which will make the palette last you even longer!
My favourite look i create out of this pallete is; charmer, smarty pants and jet setter. I just love a matte eye!

These palettes are a must for anyone who loves makeup, i highly recommend them.

If you have used them i would love to know your thoughts and which shades you use to create a gorgeous eye!

Ive found my Mr Right!

Well if this isn't the sweetest makeup brush i have ever seen!

As soon as i found out this Too Faced Mr Right brush was available in the UK and LIMITED EDITION it was top of my purchase list! (anything limited edition is my weakness). The baby blue colour and not to mention the bow tie, (very posh i may add) just makes this brush a must have! The bristles are so soft known by Too Faced as teddy bear hair and i can see why! On one side of the brush it says MR Right and on the other it says Too Faced.

With the shape and size of the bristles this brush is very versatile it can be used to apply all over faced powder, bronzer, blushers and highlighters. Also if you don't want to get the bow tie caked in makeup, you can easily remove it its just on a piece of elastic.
This can be purchased online at Debenhams for £30

Kylie Lip-kit

After the hype of Kylie cosmetics, i just had to fight wait patiently for the next batch to be available.
So after sitting for a good 45 mins refreshing the page one minute till launch and having the website crash on me countless times, i was lucky enough to exchange some pennies for Dolce K lip-kit.

The formula is the best i have tried, it isn't drying or makes the lips look cracked like i have previous experiences with. It is a gorgeous matte which as you all know from my previous blogs is my favourite lip finish.

This lipliner is easy and smooth to use and you don't need to have loads of pressure to create a bold colour.

Dolce K what can i say its heaven in a bottle! With some products its hard to purchase the right colour online but this is the perfect colour for me i love it. A light brown/ nude colour which is perfect for day or night! I can't wait to purchase more when they become available!

MAC | Must Haves

MAC is one of my ultimate favourite beauty brands! It was the first brand i had a good splurge on and 6 years later I'm still hooked! I have used a wide range of products from MAC and thought it was a good idea to share my ultimate must haves that you need in your makeup kit!

TWIG, VELVET TEDDY, BRAVE

TOP : PHLOOF...LEFT; WEGDE... RIGHT;  EMBARK

MAC Studio Fix Foundation
Ive tried many foundations but none has compared to this heaven in a bottle! i have been using it for 2 years now, i used to use studio sculpt but wanted a fuller coverage, thats still natural and long lasting. If you are stuck for foundations i would defiantly go to your MAC store get matched up and purchase or if your unsure ask for a sample, but i assure you will be back buying it in no time.

MAC Mineralise Skinfinish Natural
Well this is just my favourite face powder my overall makeup looks flawless and well blended when i use this to set my foundation in place. I use shade Medium- Dark and its a dream. It goes on really well and doesn't leave a powdery finish.

MAC Mineralise  Soft and Gentle
A must have for anyones makeup kit is this highlighter its unbelievable! Soft and gentle is so pigmented and has a gorgeous finish! It has a golden shimmer and is an amazing highlighter. I have had mine for about 5 years as i don't use it everyday and you don't need to put a lot of product on your brush for a gorgeous finish.

MAC Fluidline
Easy way to make a straight long lasting line! Partner this with the MAC 209 brush and you will be able to make the perfect line.

MAC Eyeshadows
I am obsessed  love MAC eyeshadows, the different finishes and the pigmentation is just dreamy. The three in the image able are Phloof, Wedge and Embark. I use wedge all over, Phloof on my inner corner and lash line and embark in the crease of my socket. I don't want to bore you all about going in great detail with these as i am doing a blog on eyeshadows very soon!

MAC Lipliners
A great investment piece is a MAC lipliner, they have so many incredible shades to choose from. They are long lasting and easy to apply, they are smooth and don't crumble like some when applying. My favourite shades are Stripdown and Spice.

MAC Lipstick
MAC Lipsticks are a dream! They have loads of amazing shades and i love how the lipsticks can be put into categories of finishes, I love a matte finish! Not only do they look nice but they smell incredible too! A few favourites are; Velvet Teddy, Twig and Brave

What are your MAC must haves?

February Favourites

I can't believe how fast this year is going but here we are already at the end of February (shock face)
and since we are at the end of February, i thought i would share with you all my favourite things of the month. These have all been my go to products of the month that i love and hopefully may be some of yours aswell :)

Garnier body; Summer body in shade Deep.
This has been my go to product over the winter months. It is very light weight and i normally put a few 5p size dots of it up my arm and then i rub it in. I do this on a night time and when i wake up i have a hint of a tan without the use of fake tan. This product is honestly amazing it smells gorgeous and doesn't leave streaks!! I use this three times a week to keep up the golden glow.  Every time i have used this i have been complimented. I think it is the perfect alternative to fake tan!  I bought this from my local Boots at £5.49.

Benefit; Hoola
This product is new to me and i don't know why as it is amazing! I have worn it everyday as i use it to contour with. The brush is perfect to contour cheeks and forehead as it can give the perfect contour line that can be buffed in. The packaging is Gorgeous! and the fact it comes with a mirror means i can use it on the go to top up throughout the day. Benefit £23.50

Giorgio Armani; Si
A beautiful fragrance! The packaging is stunning and so girly! This has been the perfume i have worn most this month! I love spraying my scarfs so when i put one on it smells nice and fresh.

MAC Fix+
This product is the best product for my skin in winter. I apply it after moisturising and then after i have applied my makeup but before my mascara! It has made my makeup sit better on my face and just gives the overall look a glowing finish. Everyone should have one of these in their makeup collection.

Benefit Watts up
Such a quick and easy way to highlight cheeks. A gorgeous champagne shimmer which isn't too intense for a day time but can be layered up on a night, its long lasting and easily applied. I rub this across my cheek bones and down the bridge of my nose, i use the sponge on the end although i find it works better with finger tips, as they are much warmer which can make it blend in better to give the perfect highlight. I love this as it works perfectly with benefit hoola. Got to give a mention to the gorgeous packaging its the sweetest thing ever!! Buy from Benefit £24.50

So those are my February favourites! What are yours?

Charlotte Tilbury packaging is one of my favourites I must say! The rose gold gives it an elegant and powerful finish and looks gorgeous on display. These two products are a must have to anyones makeup collection and if you love your nudes then you will love these!

Lets start with the heavenly lipliner. Charlotte Tilbury, Lip Cheat in Iconic Nude (£16) which is a perfect light brown, nude shade. This not only looks amazing but is amazing, the application is easy and i find it long lasting! It glides on smoothly giving you the perfect outline and i always like to fill my lips in with it too before applying lipstick.

I also purchased the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Very Victoria (£23). This is a light brown, nude shade. The formula is so rich and creamy for a matte lipstick, it leaves a gorgeous wearable finish and lasts a long time although i do have to reapply later on in the day, i must admit. Very easy to apply with the flat ended tip, i find it the easiest lipstick to apply! By far out of all my lipstick collection this is my ultimate favourite. OSCO pen pot - AMAZON - £3.38

Recently i finally found the perfect acrylic brush holder for me, i have been searching for ages for something affordable, acrylic and just what i want! My brush holder is actually a PEN POT! It is not too big and bulky and not too small that nothing can fit in. I purchased two to keep my brushes organised, one for my smaller eye and blending brushes and one for the bigger brushes such as my face and contouring brushes. My makeup brush collection is ever growing and i know in the future i will need to purchase another pot or two! But for anyone wanting the acrylic storage this is perfect for you.

TIP-
Put beads or anything you want at the bottom, to stop brushes banging and squaring each other and it also makes for a cute decoration.

Barry M ; Capuccino

Barry M, Nail Paint ; Capuccino - £2.99

Taupe is my recent favourite colour as i seem to be drawn to anything that is TAUPE, from watches, shoes, bags and coats and now i have found the perfect nail varnish! I am usually an OPI girl but walking past this shade i couldn't resist this Barry M Nail Paint and for only £2.99 no one can say NO to that price! The Polish has a fantastic application making it smooth and easy to glide over the nails. With every Nail varnish i apply two coats to allow the colour to reach its full potential. I always add a top coat to give it a longer lasting glossy finish. This product can be bought in any Boots or Superdrug stores and online at the Barry M website.

MAC Faerie Whispers

MAC Faerie Whispers collection has been my favourite collection since it launched on Boxing Day, I have been hooked ever since. This collection may of been around for a while, but i was in a MAC store recently and saw that some products were still available. This lead me to doing a bit of searching for what products are still available and it turns out a good few are!

MAC Faerie Whispers is a stunning collection. I love the range of colours, I choose the bronze, golden and champagne shades, as i wear them more than the pinks and purples. The foiled eye shadows are stunning high quality products, with an extra special touch, i love the way they look! The size of the eye shadows as they are larger than normal. This collection has incredible pigmentation! For an even more bold look, spray your eye shadow brush with MAC Fix+ this enables you to gain the most out of the pigmentation.
Left-Right: Joy Toy, Enchanted Forest, Faerie Fayre, Fairy Land
Top Row: Faerie Fayre, Enchanted Forest .. Bottom Row: Joy Toy, Fairy Land ..£16

Swatches : Fairy Land, Joy Toy, Enchanted Forest and Faerie Fayre
(Excuse my stubby fingers)

This collection came with two beauty powders, i purchased the MAC IRIDESCENT PRESSED POWDER in shade Sparkling Rose. This is by far my favourite product out of the whole collection. The stunning powder has a light pink shimmer which is perfect when applied to cheek bones and an extra tip apply to collar bone to make that stand out! This product can be used on the brow bone to make it stand out. It creates a nice subtle glow on the skin and can be built up too. I also purchased the 133 powder brush which is a must for any makeup collection. This Brush is shorter than others but is perfect for blending as it has soft bristles. Click Here to purchase the MAC 133 small cheek Brush.

These products are still available at some MAC counters. Additionally CLICK HERE to purchase these products online at Selfridges.

Dior Spring 2016

Dior Spring Collection 2016 has really grabbed my attention and has been a must purchase for the upcoming spring season!

The product that stood out the most to me within this collection was the, Dior Nude Air Illuminating Powder. It has been my go to highlighter ever since! Within this collection there are two shades Glowing Pink and Glowing Nude i purchased Glowing nude as i preferred the nude/golden tone. The pigmentation is amazing with a hint of a gold shimmer, perfect for on the top of the cheek bones and down the bridge of the nose. It has sold out in most places and is becoming difficult to purchase.

The Pattern of this product is stunning and was hard to ruin as it is so pretty! I really love how much detail has gone into the product and packaging Dior have really out done themselves with this incredible collection!

The Product comes in this Navy Dior box. As well as the powder, it comes with this gorgeous little Kabuki brush which has soft but quite firm bristles and is the perfect size for applying the powder to the cheek bones. Also it comes with a velvet navy dust bag for the product to sit in.
